<h1> </h1> <h1>Welcome to Ms. Mitschrich's English 10 Class!</h1> <br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt;">Welcome to grade 10 English. You are about to embark on a magical journey though the English language. Throughout the year you will be reading, analyzing, critiquing, and discussing various genres of literature. You will also have the opportunity to write essays, short stories, poetry and do research. This will be an exciting year as we will be going on many adventures through the stories we read and the stories that we share. <strong>I encourage students and parents to look at this Wiki in order to keep up to date with various assignments and class information.</strong> In addition, periodically there will be interactive homework assignments that parents and students can work on together. </span><br /> <br /> <br /> <strong><u><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You are required to come to every class on time and prepared with the following materials: </span></u></strong><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Pen </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Pencil </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Binder </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Lined A4 paper </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Scrap book with unlined paper </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- English 10 text book </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Dictionary </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Markers or pencil crayons </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Scissors </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Glue </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude</span><br /> <br /> <br /> <strong><u><span style="font-size: 10pt;">To be successful in English, you must: </span></u></strong><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Speak <strong>English</strong> at <strong>all times</strong> </span><br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt; margin-left: 0.25in; text-indent: -0.25in;">- Ask a lot of questions.
